The Mission: Where Do the Funds Go?

    • Travel Teams: Funding transportation (van rentals), tournament entry fees, and lodging for our regional and national travel teams to compete in prestigious national showcases.

    • Free Clinics: Funding free, high-level basketball and volleyball skills clinics throughout the year for local student-athletes to learn, grow, and build self-esteem.

  • Securing annual player licenses and memberships on elite collegiate recruiting and performance-analysis platforms like University Athlete and Hudl. This technology provides local athletes with a digital recruiting resume, professional film breakdown, and direct access to college coaches across the country.

  • Supporting our post-grad prep and trade school program designed specifically for "13th" and "14th" grade student-athletes. GAA bridges the gap between high school and the next level by offering academic recovery, college prep, athletic exposure, and career-focused trade skills.

  • Our premier evening safe haven designed to serve local youth during critical "at-risk" hours (operating Monday through Saturday from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM). L.I.G.H.T. stands for Leadership, Integrity, Growth, Health, Teamwork. This program provides a completely safe, welcoming, and high-energy environment featuring:

    • Free food and hot, nutritious meals.

    • Cooking classes and healthy lifestyle coaching.

    • Competitive and recreational indoor sports leagues.

    • Goal setting, financial literacy, and career planning sessions.

    • Positive Behavior Incentives: To reward consistency, character, and teamwork, we give away gift card rewards to top national and local retailers for outstanding attendance and leadership.

  • A structured, faith-integrated sports outreach program leveraging athletic training for mentorship and inclusivity. This program includes:

    • Inclusive Sports Clinics: Free, high-level basketball and volleyball clinics designed specifically for families in need and local partners with unique developmental needs, such as St. Mary's School of the Deaf.

    • Adopt-an-Athlete Mentorship: A formalized mentorship track pairing student-athletes with dedicated local mentors to guide them through athletic, spiritual, and academic growth.

    • Faith & Character Integration: Introducing physical, one-page devotionals at clinics and guiding travel rosters in team-building, character development, and discipline.

  • The dedicated community outreach and relief arm of our ministry. Through Community Action, Relief, and Empowerment Services, our athletes and staff participate in direct neighborhood empowerment projects:

    • Annual Back-to-School Bash: Providing local students with free backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, and resources to prepare for academic success.

    • Operation: Community Clean Sweep: Organizing scheduled youth-led neighborhood clean-up events to restore, beautify, and build pride in our local WNY parks and streets.

How the Drawing Works

To ensure absolute fairness, transparency, and compliance, we use a modernized, weighted digital drawing system:

  1. Secure Registration: When you purchase tickets online, your name and contact details are automatically logged into our secure database.

  2. Weighted Probability: For every individual entry purchased, your name is entered once into our digital randomizer. For example, purchasing an Elite 5-Pack places your name into the system exactly five times, giving you five distinct opportunities to win.

  3. The Live Drawing: Drawings take place live on our official social media channels at the conclusion of each raffle campaign. The specific drawing dates, times, and streaming platforms are always posted on our active landing page and social channels. We utilize a verified digital randomizer (Wheel of Names) to draw the winner.

  4. The Split: The grand prize winner will receive exactly 50% of the total cash pot accumulated. The remaining 50% is retained by our 501(c)(3) organization to fund the program pillars and youth academies listed above.

  • While Golden Age Sports and Business, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, IRS regulations state that raffle ticket purchases are not tax-deductible. This is because a raffle ticket represents a "chance to win" a valuable prize, which the IRS classifies as a game of chance rather than a direct, unilateral donation.   • All online ticket sales and tracking will officially close exactly 24 hours prior to the scheduled live drawing. Please refer to our main web page and social media accounts for the current active campaign deadline.
